Armen Abgar Muradyan

1998–2000: Postgraduate student (PhD candidate) at the Department of Oncology and Radiation Therapy, YSMU.
2000: Defended PhD thesis on "Predictive Model Issues for Clinical Course of Prostate Precancerous Conditions and Cancer."

2003–2011: Founded the Department of Urology at YSMU and served as Head of Department.

2003–2008: Head of the Urological Clinic at "Armenia" Republic Medical Center.

2004–2006: Advisor to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

2005–2011: Professor at YSMU.
2005: Defended Doctoral thesis (Sc.D.) on "Clinicobiological Foundations for Improving the Complex Treatment of Advanced Prostate Cancer."

2006–2014: Chief Urologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

2008–2012: First Deputy Director (Medical Affairs) at the V.A. Fanarjyan National Center of Oncology.

2009–2013: President of the Armenian Urological Association.

2012–2014: Executive Director of "Izmirlian" Medical Center.

2014–present: Head of the Department of Urology and Andrology at YSMU.

April 23, 2014 – September 9, 2016: Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

November 4, 2016 – December 29, 2016: Acting Rector of Yerevan State Medical University.

December 29, 2016 – present: Rector of Yerevan State Medical University (re-elected in June 2026).

Author of 2 monographs and over 100 scientific publications.

Awarded the YSMU "Gold Medal" and the Letter of Appreciation from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

Awarded the 2nd Degree Medal "For Services to the Fatherland" by the President of Armenia (May 28, 2017).
