I am delighted to welcome you all on the official launch of the organizational work for the Armenian Medical World Congress 2027.
The central focus of this large-scale and significant event is the application of artificial intelligence in medicine. Alongside its organizing team, the Congress will also have an international advisory board that will help enrich its scientific content and expand international collaboration.
A wide range of sections and plenary sessions — from medical education to narrow specialized fields — will ensure the broadest possible thematic coverage.
In effect, from a conceptual standpoint, the Congress is being transformed from a mono-ethnic medical event into one of the world's most important gatherings of medical thought — which was precisely our primary wish and goal.
Taking on the presidency of the Armenian Medical World Congress, to be held in Armenia in 2027, is a deeply inspiring mission for us as members of the university community. It is especially meaningful to see Armenian physicians, researchers, and scientists from every corner of the world unite around a single platform to exchange knowledge, experience, and ideas.
For years, Yerevan State Medical University has responsibly advanced medical education, promoted scientific research, and shaped new generations of specialists who devote their lives to protecting people's health. The University is determined to contribute not only to the progress of medicine in Armenia, but in the world.
We are confident that this Congress in Yerevan will give new momentum to achieving these goals.
